L’organisation et le champ d’intervention de la matériovigilance constituent un axe fort de cette première partie. | The first part of the book is dedicated to a review of the international and Brazilian rules and norms related to medical equipment (before their introduction on the market and during their “life”. Reliability, performance and quality control procedures of these equipments during their duty life, constitute a strong topic of this first part (matériovigilance). | |
| La deuxième partie traite de la gestion des technologies biomédicales et développe les concepts de plateau technique et d’ingénierie biomédicale. Deux chapitres sont dédiés au processus d’acquisition et de maintenance de ces technologies, abordant les questions de planification et d’organisation du plateau technique et présentant une analyse des coûts directs et indirects induits par ces équipements. Des exemples de documents contractuels et de tableaux de bord sont proposés à la fin de ces chapitres. | The second part handles with the management of medical technologies and develops the concept of clinical support services and biomedical engineering. Two chapters are dedicated to the process of procurement and maintenance of these equipments, approaching the questions of economic planning and organization of the clinical support services and presenting an analysis of direct and indirect costs led by these equipments. Examples of contractual documents and dashboards are proposed at the end of these chapters. | |

The third part is made up of 37 specification sheets presenting the biomedical equipments most frequently used by hospitals, by insisting on their functioning principles, their features and commissioning conditions, as well as on the main consumables and spare parts to be foreseen. |
